In Japan, how many people had been killed in the name of country ? Most Japanese did not know that, and believed themselves peaceful. They only did not want to know it. Then they became happy to see Japanese economic success and forgot own sins. They became arrogant.
They all believed in they were different from the past Japanese. However, there still existed the ghost of militalism which had ended Great Japanese Empire ( Empire of Japan ), I suffered this influence enough as well as other Japanese. But it was one good way to get along calmly in Japan.
In Japan, we could see a lot of war historical books in bookstore. I liked studying, and I usually went to the bookstore to find new experience. It was natural to pick them up. My father did not stop my doing. He was afraid of something another. I became preferring Nazi matters. But those were the substitute crafts which were for the satisfaction of militalists who were prohibited to express about Great Japanese Empire.
In 1998, when I was a high student, I was threatened by letter because my drawing Nazi-tank’s picture was published on a fantasy-SF magazine. It was just a joke ( the point which Nazi tank appeared at SF war was just a joke ), but soon, Asahi Newspaper telephoned me to cover my incident. They advocated me to say why you preferred Nazi matters. There were the people who could not get along calmly.
In the latest 1998, Showa Emperor was in a critical condition. All Japanese were covered on self-restraint. As I believed Japan was a country of freedom, so it looked strange for me. I insisted to my classmates on it was strange. But no one listened to my words.
They looked not to know his sins. My grandfather was a son of owner who managed several hotels, but his family had lost all prosperity at WWII. He as himself volunteered to army, then he was captured by Russian army and had sent to Siberia for 4 years ( but he could come back to Japan with alive ). Then my father had to live as a son of farmer. A cousin of my granduncle lost his merchant ship by providing it to army.
— I did not stop respecting the emperor ( it was freedom of thought ), it was so strange that all Japanese had to be in self-restraint. Somebody forced to do it.
Anyway, Showa emperor was gone in early 1999, After a while, Asahi Newspaper reported my incident. In this year, I decided to go to Tokyo because I wanted to became a fantasy writer. I liked fantasy and SF more than Nazi tanks. There was no choice without going to Tokyo because most publishing companies were in Tokyo.
I moved to Tokyo in 1999 in the name of going to university. But what I would see in Tokyo was full of imagination and delusion. I could see THE VOICE … It was uncertain whether was telepathy or delusion. Most of people in Tokyo were in this group hysteria ——
